The Tasmanian Building Group Apprenticeship Scheme (TasBGAS) is a not-for-profit, group training organisation, dedicated to developing the vocational skills and expertise of Tasmania's future building and construction leaders.
The first of its kind in Tasmania, TasBGAS has been a leading trainer since 1984 and is regarded as Tasmania's pre-eminent
group training specialist in the building and construction industry, employing approximately 50 per cent of the state's group training apprentices.
A focused dedication to the industry's continued skill-base development has led to the Scheme being recognised as the
specialist in its field. This high standing has been earned through a combination of good, honest hard work, an unswerving commitment to apprentice development
and host trainer employment requirements. 
Significant importance is placed on recruiting young people who have strong desire to learn and grow, and who in turn, will make a valuable contribution to their host employer's business.
